Guy Cifré
passed away
It was with
great
sadness that
on Wednesday
January 9,
2008 Guy
Cifré lost
his battle
against his
illness and
passed away.
Since the
early 1980s,
he was the
leading
French
Scripophily
dealer. His
shop,
Numistoria,
was located
very close
to the Paris
Stock
Exchange,
giving him
excellent
buying and
selling
opportunities.
He made
Scripophily
popular in
France by
writing 3
reference
catalogues
about French
(+French
colonial)
old stocks
and bonds.
Guy was a
tremendous
resource and
was a great
help to me
when I first
was getting
started in
the hobby.
He was a
wonderful
person and
will be
missed by
everyone who
knew him.
